Leslie has worked with over 100 organizational leaders in engineering, information technology, finance, higher education, medicine and the creative arts.
Leslie also creates and facilitates customized leadership development, strategic planning and project management workshops. Leslie draws upon her extensive leadership experience to enhance her coaching and workshops with real world examples and experiences.
Experienced Technical Leader
Leslie started her career as an electrical engineer and rose to the position of Group Leader at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Lincoln Laboratory. MIT Lincoln Laboratory is a nationally- recognized laboratory engaged in developing advanced technology.
Leslie became the first woman to lead a technical group at MIT Lincoln Laboratory.
Leslie has 20 years experience leading large teams of engineers, IT professionals and financial analysts in a fast paced R & D environment at MIT with a focus on areas such as satellite communications and information technology. In addition Leslie has over 15 years experience leading diverse teams for an international charitable organization with a focus on education, strategy and donor development.
Inclusive Leadership
As an executive coach, Leslie works with men and women to strengthen their leadership skills in a variety of areas including enhancing their effectiveness in working with teams and diversity. While at MIT Lincoln Laboratory Leslie co-founded and was the first chair of the Professional Women’s Network (PWN).
She has facilitated many group mentoring and professional development sessions and has led the development of a very successful mentoring program for women. Leslie has coached other organizations and individuals on leveraging diversity, developing women’s networks and mentoring programs, and creating an environment that supports gender diversity.

Leslie’s academic background and training includes: graduate courses at MIT in Electrical Engineering and the Sloan School of Management, a MS from Brandeis University in Mathematics, a BS from the University of Massachusetts – Amherst in Mathematics, Co-Active Coach Training from the Coach Training Institute, and Stakeholder Centered Coach training using Marshall Goldsmith’s concepts.
